Our Story: From Immigrant Struggles to AI Innovation
The heartbeat of WordBuddy.ai comes from a place of real struggle. As immigrants living in a Western country, we are learners ourselves. We know exactly what it feels like to face the uphill battle of English proficiency.
Our founder remembers the lonely days of preparing for the IELTS exam:
"I was lonely at home, practicing speaking by myself. I didn't know what was right or what was wrong. Private tutors were expensive and hard to find. At one point, my family didn't even have enough money for my second-year tuition, so I had to save every penny of my living expenses just to stay in school. Professional IELTS prep was a luxury I couldn't afford."
Back then, the dream was to have a tool like ChatGPT or Gemini to provide instant feedback. Today, we are lucky to live in the AI era, and we have built those dreams into the WordBuddy.ai App.
