This Policy is in addition to your rights under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit or exclude your rights under these laws.

This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions purchased for WordBuddy (accessible via the WordBuddy mobile application and wordbuddy.ai) and the associated community platform operated by Melon Labs Limited (we, us, our).
By subscribing to our services, you agree to the terms set out in this Refund Policy.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at contact@wordbuddy.ai.
- Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.
- You will retain access to premium features until the end of the billing period for which you have paid.
- No refunds will be provided for the remaining portion of your current billing period after cancellation.
3. Refunds
We do not offer refunds except where required by law.
Refunds will only be provided in circumstances where:
- We have failed to provide the services you have paid for; or
- We are otherwise required to provide a refund under applicable consumer protection laws.
4. Service Availability
We aim to provide continuous access to WordBuddy and the community platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, updates, and minor technical issues may result in temporary downtime. Such downtime does not entitle you to a refund unless the service is unavailable for more than 14 consecutive days within a single billing period.
Refund requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at contact@wordbuddy.ai with details of your concern.
5. Consumer Protection Laws
New Zealand Consumers
If you are located in New Zealand, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 cannot be excluded. This Refund Policy does not limit any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer protection laws.
Australian Consumers
If you are located in Australia, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded. This Refund Policy does not limit any rights you may have under Australian consumer protection laws.
Other International Consumers
If you are located outside New Zealand or Australia, the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction may apply. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with your local consumer rights. This Refund Policy does not limit any mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction.
